CEDREM Training Organization

Founded in 2008, CEDREM is an innovative company that creates new technologies. Its team of multidisciplinary engineers and researchers specializes in the analysis of complex systems subjected to dynamic phenomena, such as explosions, shocks and impacts.

Since its creation, CEDREM has been pushing the limits of digital simulation applied to the physics of ballistics and explosions and offers training in relation to its trades and the various problems encountered.

Goal

This training recalls the essentials of the theoretical foundations for approaching impact issues at different speeds.

Several modeling techniques are mentioned depending on the various issues addressed: elementary or particular approaches or even coupled.
The impactors taken into account will be birds, hailstones, ballistics, fragments.
The materials receiving the impact will be metallic materials, composite materials and fragile materials.

Various examples will be proposed for the material approaches and the associated laws.

Study of the threat of an explosive attack and various weapons

Target audience:
• Project managers, responsible for expressing a need and that validates all the elements of an infrastructure project, with culminating in a budget to set.
• Architects, the terrorist attack imposing safety distances, impacting the shape of the buildings, the nature of the openings, the functional organization of the structure.
• Design offices in charge of writing an ESSP, a feasibility study, a program and elements of project management.
• Project managers, the threat impacting absolutely all the trades.
• Security managers, in charge of defining a need, monitoring the progress of the project or improving the existing technical and organizational plans, or even better understanding the vulnerabilities of its site to better understand the plans in the event of crisis (PCA, PRA, crisis management, Vigipirate…)

Goal

The terrorist threat is multifaceted: car bomb, ram vehicles, firearms, booby jackets or explosives belts, booby traps …

What are the effects of this threat on men, on structures and on the targeted entity? How to protect yourself from it? How to limit the constraints of such a level of protection? And what does the regulation say? What to do for a new project? For an improvement of the existing? What are the remaining vulnerabilities?

This is the ambitious objective of this training: to give you all the keys, tools and methodology to calmly address these threats and predict the unpredictable.

A concrete case study and a file will be given to you in order to perpetuate the achievements. Finally, this training will be a place of exchange so that everyone can benefit from everyone’s experiences.

Goal

This seminar provides a vision of the industrial processes used in the composite field and the associated digital approaches. It is indeed difficult to simulate the mechanical behavior of the composite without having good knowledge of its manufacturing process. The properties of composites are closely related to the methods of weaving and inserting the matrix.

The simulation of these materials therefore goes hand in hand with new calculation strategies and new digital tools. The modules allow you to recall the composite processes, starting with weaving, the properties of resin materials, draping dry fabrics in molds to carry out infusion or RTM processes. The theoretical presentations will highlight the parameters that will be taken up in the numerical approaches and the existing tools associated with composite processes. Finally, the digital tools put in place will be presented and tested to see their integration in more global calculations.
